Eve looks at everybody with an unbearable questioning look, in which the words are encrypted: "Well, what shall we do about it?" For adults, that's an impossible question to ask.
Eva spent most of her life in hospital. The girl was born with a lesion in the central nervous system. The first days are intensive care, tubes sticking out, I.V.'s hanging nearby. And the mother looks at her daughter through the glass, whether crying or dry eyes - reddened, excited.
For Eve to live, she needed artificial access to oxygen in her body, Eve herself could not breathe. At the hospital, she was connected to a ventilator.
"And what, she'll stay in the hospital forever?" - Anastasia asked the doctors in terrible alarm. And they diluted their hands and said: "Well, if you have money for your ventilator, you can, of course, take your daughter home and take care of her". An I.V.L. machine was worth a million...
Then we helped Eva and bought this expensive device.
But until now, Eva can't breathe on her own. She's two years old, she tries to say the words, but she doesn't come out yet.
Eva has a tracheostoma, a special tube in her throat through which air bypasses her nose and enters her lungs. And the bedroom is furnished with medical equipment, which requires a lot of consumables for its operation. Fine filters for oxygen concentrator, neck tapes, tracheostomy tubes.
Eva is slow but developing. The lesion of the central nervous system, of course, makes itself felt - Eva has a developmental delay. And we have to make a huge effort to make her learn what a healthy child is given by itself.
Eva now has a vital need for consumables for medical equipment. Let's help Eve learn to breathe for herself!
