The veterinary center "Petomez" is the only shelter for animals in Penza, which provides a full cycle of diagnosis and treatment of homeless animals. Within its walls at one time live 250 cats and dogs, and 50 more come in for emergency treatment every month. Street life is dangerous, cruel and traumatic, that's why patients of the center arrive here with various illnesses: from injuries received by a car to chronic diseases of internal organs, which were provoked by poor nutrition, hypothermia, viruses.
After a stage of diagnostics, which includes blood tests, an ultrasound and an examination by an in-house veterinarian, such special animals are put on a therapeutic diet - a specialized diet high in calories and protein content, digestible and tasty, which is not of little importance, as animals often have a reduced appetite for pain syndrome.
In order for the 10 patients of the center to be well fed for a month, and therefore healthy, we need your help in purchasing therapeutic soft food. The response to your kindness is the most sincere - gentle meow, merry woof and new rescue stories!
