At the age of 2.5 Dzhamila Rahimova got angina. After it the girl had her first epileptic seizure. Up to this moment, the baby developed by age and didn’t have any illnesses. The number of attacks was constantly increasing and reached 40 per day.
At first, she was treated in Dagestan, then examined in Stavropol and Moscow. The checkup showed that the operation for Dzhamila is not indicated, as there was no visible focus that could be removed.
Doctors tried to find medicines to stop the attacks, but they failed. When the girl was taking 4 different drugs simultaneously without positive effect, doctors concluded that the epilepsy was pharmaco-resistant.
In August 2019, Dzhamla began a keto diet. After the introduction of keto diet, Jamila started to come to life, fatigue gone and seizures became less frequent.
Patients on keto diet need to be examined regularly by epileptologists and to correct the diet if necessary.
The next hospitalization to correct the diet is planned for the near future. But the price is too high for this family: 105,000 rubles.
