Eva is four years old. She has the consequences of a perinatal CNS lesion and a delay in speech and mental development. Her mother noticed the abnormalities by the time she was two years old. The girl stopped responding to her name and had frequent tantrums. Speech was missing all the words, no index gesture. It is important to start treatment for mental retardation as early as possible. Year by year, cognitive and thinking delays are added due to ZPD, which makes the correction much longer. Evi has already undergone several therapy sessions with a psychologist, a speech therapist, specialists in ABA therapy and sensory integration. Already much improvement is visible. Little girl is eating independently. She is able to use instruments, before she used to eat only with her hands. Now she has a phrase speech and pointing gesture. In order to fix the achieved results and to obtain new skills the girl needs another course of rehabilitation and swimming. Her mother raises Eva and her brother alone.
