Milan is 11 years old. Three years ago, the boy went to first grade. Milan dreamed of school, planned to study the best, make true friends, learn new things and discover the world. Six months later, in the winter of 2020, Milan began to complain of pain in his leg, in the knee area. Then the boy was engaged in the sambo section and was very active.
“We thought it was just a severe bruise and didn't panic,” recalls the mother. After some time, Milan lost his appetite, weakness appeared, he began to get tired quickly, and the pain in his leg intensified. A medical examination showed that the boy had osteosarcoma. Milan underwent 5 operations, many courses of chemotherapy and the disease receded. Milan grew up and got stronger, began to get used to life without constant droppers and examinations. But recently, a seal has reappeared on the leg. The boy had a biopsy, which showed that the cancer had returned.
Now Milan again faces a long process of treatment and regular visits to the Rogachev Center in Moscow.
In addition to Milan, other kids with cancer regularly fly from Bashkiria to clinics in Moscow and St. Petersburg for treatment, examinations and consultations. On average, every month our fund pays for flights for 10 children. Help with paying for the tickets for families with children with cancer is extremely important, because often one of the parents is forced to leave work to take care of the child, and this hits the family budget hard.
With your help, we will be able to help the kids arrive on time for treatment in order to defeat the disease as soon as possible.
