Ikhlosbek survived several surgeries and even a coma in his three years. The baby was born with a congenital cleft upper lip and a craniocerebral hernia. To help her son, his mother and his grandmother brought the boy from Uzbekistan to St. Petersburg. Experienced doctors from the Almazov NMIC clinic examined the boy and started treatment. The child was fitted with a gastrostomy and a tracheostomy. The baby gradually gained weight and learned to walk.
"Doctors said that my grandson will not be able to walk. But he walked. This is happiness for us. He is a very kind, smiling boy, although he has had so many trials," says Ikhlosbek's grandmother.
At the end of June, Ikhlos underwent a heavy operation to remove a craniocerebral hernia, which had grown so large that the child could hardly breathe and the tracheostomy was bleeding. Now Ikhlos is in intensive care, his condition is stable, but treatment must be continued.
The family is unable to pay for further treatment of the child. Dad left the family as soon as the baby was born. The grandmother is always near her seriously ill grandson, the mother is trying to feed the family, working as a fasofshchitsa. They can't cope alone.
Let's help little Ichlos to continue his treatment!
