The birth of little Kostya Tarba was difficult and protracted. The baby was large and weighed approximately 4,500 grams. When the baby was six months old, the parents first noticed the lag: the son did not respond to his name, there was no babble. Another six months passed but no changes were observed. And then the doctors diagnosed a delay in speech development. For 3 whole years Kostya's parents have been looking for a treatment that would really help him. Many treatment methods were tried, but there was practically no dynamics - independent speech did not appear, there was no pointing gesture and Kostya did not understand the addressed speech. The doctors made the final diagnosis: sensorimotor dysphasia, general underdevelopment of speech of the 1st degree. Fortunately, at the age of 3.5, Kostya's treatment was completely changed and little by little the boy began to make progress. He began to better understand the addressed speech, respond to the name, fulfill easy requests, many gestures appeared.
