Sveta Gurova has undergone rehabilitation!

Sveta Gurova is the second child in the family, she is a long-awaited baby. Unfortunately, Sveta was born on the 29th week. Sveta was released from the hospital only in the age of two months. After leaving the hospital the mother continued to follow all the doctors’ recommendations. Up to 4 months doctors in the children's clinic assured that the child would catch up with her development. Unfortunately, in a year Sveta was given disability on a disease: cerebral palsy spastic tetraparesis. Up to 5 years Sveta was treated in her city: massage courses, physical therapy, medical treatment, classes with a speech therapist and psychologist. At the age of 5.5 the girl got the first rehabilitation course at the “Adelie Penza Federal Centre”. The results after the course were amazing! There was a breakthrough in the physical development, since then the family has been trying to continue rehabilitation in this centre. All Sveta’s achievements at the moment are thanks to “Adelie”. Now Svetlana can crawl, stand and walk on high knees, walk on bars, climb up and down from low objects. After the last course, which was almost a year ago, Sveta started putting her hands down and trying to catch the balance while standing with support. The girl’s doctor- neurologist also noticed the changes. She recommends to continue the treatment. Now, because of the growth and long break between rehabilitations, Sveta's spasticity in her legs began to increase, she began to curl up her knees badly during verticalization and walking. It is very necessary for Sveta to get the treatment, because a year without professional muscle development in cerebral palsy is a lot, and it gives a setback, and it is very offensive to lose the acquired skills. From the mother's letter: "Svetlanka is a very sociable girl. She knows many poems, reads quite well, loves to help me in the kitchen. She enjoys playing in a physical instructor. All her toys are patients, and she teaches them to make the right movements and stretch".
