Elina Kalenjyan is undergoing a post-operative rehabilitation course at the Sukhum rehabilitation and diagnostic center.

Four-year-old Elina Kalenjyan has "Congenital Dysplasia in both hip joints". On February 6 of this year, Elina underwent the first reconstructive surgery of joints at "Sourb Avstvatsmair" Scientific Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics (Yerevan). Now the girl needs to undergo post-surgical rehabilitation treatment at Sukhum Rehabilitation and Diagnostic Center, which will last six months. Elina needs to perform a set of exercises to strengthen and stabilize hip joints, muscles of the torso, pelvic floor and legs. She will also perform joint mobilisation. If Elina does not undergo this rehabilitation course, the previously performed operation will be useless. The cost of half a year of treatment in the center is 59 551 rubles. The Kalendjian family has no possibility to pay for the treatment of their daughter. The situation in the world is complicated, because of the pandemic many people were left without jobs and means. But the worst thing is sick children, our little citizens who are fighting for their fragile lives. We encourage everyone to help Elina as long as she has a chance to recover.
