Our fundraiser for the “Neighbours” leisure center has reached its goal!

Our Leisure Centre "Sosedi" is now attended by 72 wards. The centre works every day and helps adults with mental disabilities — there our mentees work in workshops, socialise and learn new skills. But in order to work further, we need to hire a psychologist and an administrator. If we can hire such important people, we can help more people to live a full life. For example, like our client Vika! Vika came to us from the facility for people with mental disabilities in April 2023. She said that she wants to live independently, but a little bit doubts in her abilities. She also timidly said: "Here I don't have very many friends in the facility. But I would really like to make friends". At first we invited Vika to participate in the Leisure Programme and go to our Centre, where we have socialisation and friendship. She liked it very much and immediately made friends with the other wards and chaperones. Now Vika is very independent — she lives in a supported living programme and works in the sewing workshop. Let us together help people with special needs to live a full and independent life, so that there will be more stories like this!
