Ayda is 10 years old. Until the age of 3, the girl grew up as a healthy child, able to run and jump. At the age of three, she became unsteady when walking, weakness in her legs and hands, and had difficulties climbing stairs. In addition, she began to be bothered by choking attacks and chest pains. After a thorough examination, the child was diagnosed with hypotrophic cardiomyopathy with Friedreich's Ataxia, bronchial asthma and several other diagnoses. With adequate and regular treatment, it is possible to halt the progression of the disease, avoid complications and preserve the patient's ability to lead an active life for a long time. Physical therapy plays a huge role in the life of patients with Friedreich's ataxia. Regular physical therapy sessions aimed at training coordination and muscle strength help to maintain motor activity and manage pain. Ayda's family does not have the financial ability to pay for Ayda's rehabilitation course. But together we can help!
