Friends, meet! This is Artyom. And at home, they call him the book lover.
He was born in the 34th week of pregnancy, he was in intensive care for 10 days and couldn't breathe on his own for 10 days - this was helped by the IVL machine. The first two months of his life the boy spent not at home with his family, but in the perinatal center.
During the year he and his mother had a special regime: a month at home, a month in hospital. Injections, massage, therapeutic exercise. And a year and three months later, he was diagnosed with a new ICP. And only at two years old was the first step taken.
The boy's mother never gave up, even had to quit her job to help Theme rehabilitate. Because of the hemorrhage, the boy's right arm and leg aren't moving much.
Artyom is now 12 years old. He has an excellent memory, can count to 20, can type on a computer and knows poetry. But his favorite thing is books about space. He and Mom spend every night reading. As long as Theme can't read for himself, epilepsy keeps him from doing this favorite thing. But it's hoped that after a few rehab courses, the boy can read for himself.
It's a good thing the family has that opportunity. Right now, Theme needs to go to rehab in the Crimea. LFK classes, massage, therapeutic swimming, lessons with a psychologist - all this will help stop the progress of the disease and learn new skills.
One day Artyom tried to play ball with the yard guys. It did not work. It's too hard. But we can make it so that the boy scored his first goal and found friends.
