Katya is 10 years old and has been diagnosed with hemiatrophy of the right hemisphere of the brain, and the left side of her body is practically devoid of sensitivity. Together with a rehabilitation therapist, Katya has been learning to coordinate her movements in space and control her body for several years now, and is developing her paralyzed left arm. Recently girl began taking a course of aquatic rehabilitation and achieved incredible success in just a few lessons.
Only during training in the water did Katya begin to use her left hand without fear, and now she can do simple things with it in everyday life. The girl began to sleep and eat better, and her epileptic seizures became much less frequent.
According to the aquatic rehabilitation specialist, the water environment allows them to relax, feel freedom of movement, and at this moment in the brain new neural connections arise! During classes, a lot of attention is paid to intellectual development: children learn colors, shapes, animals and how all this is combined with motor elements.
