Dana is 14 years old; in the first year of his life he was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. This is a hereditary progressive neuromuscular disease; with age, the muscles only become weaker, and all movements are difficult. Since the age of six, Danya can no longer walk and moves only in a wheelchair.
Despite her progressive illness, Danya studies with a school teacher at home and loves pandas and dinosaurs, which she studies in online courses. It’s difficult for him to raise his arms high, but this doesn’t stop Dana from building entire castles out of Lego!
Danya works with an occupational therapist and tries to do therapeutic exercises every day and work out her joints - physical exercise slows down the weakening and dysfunction of muscles. But he needs special means to support the musculoskeletal system so that he is comfortable and correctly in a sitting position, without throwing his head back or falling over on his side. Now Danya especially needs the Stabillio stabilizing pillow system, thanks to which it is possible to prevent the premature danger of deformation of the body and strengthen the muscles and skeleton.
The family cannot afford to purchase such expensive equipment, so we are opening a collection. Support Danya, we cannot cure him, we cannot make the child’s life easier and more comfortable!
