Zuhra is a small "butterfly", she has epidermolysis bullosa (EB), a severe genetic skin disease, due to which any awkward touch can lead to injury. The disease already makes life very difficult for the baby, and six months ago doctors gave her another terrible diagnosis – cerebral palsy.
Epidermolysis bullosa affects many organs and body systems, so patients should be systematically examined by a team of doctors of different specialties. And when other diagnoses join the main disease, regular monitoring and treatment are doubly necessary.
The only specialized department for butterfly children operates on the basis of the country's leading pediatric institution - FGAU "NMIC of Children's Health". Here, small patients with EB from all over Russia undergo a full examination and receive all the necessary procedures, as well as surgery if necessary.
The Butterfly Children Foundation opens a collection so that Zukhra and 9 other young wards could come to Moscow for hospitalization together with their mothers. Each of them has their own medical history, but it is very important for everyone to get help in a timely manner, because regular examinations and treatment for epidermolysis bullosa provides a lighter course of the disease in the future.
Let's help the little "butterflies" get to Moscow and get the necessary help!
