Every day, about 13 children from foster families are returned to orphanages in Russia - that's more than 5,000 children every year. This does not happen because children are wrong or bad. Life in an orphanage teaches a child to use force and survive alone by any means necessary. Such children are accustomed to being unwanted, and it is difficult for them to live even in the most caring family.
Very often, care is unpleasant for them, and their usual behavior is hysteria, aggression, theft.
Adoptive parents are not always able to cope with such child behavior on their own. When all the adults' options are exhausted, the children are returned back to the orphanage.
We know that foster families can be helped. Psychologists of the “Find a Family” foundation successfully help adoptive parents and children find a common language, teach them to understand each other and, finally, to become close people.
Help us prevent children from returning to orphanages! With your support, children will be able to live in loving families and grow up as happy people.
