For several years, our Foundation has been caring for lonely old people in difficult financial situations and without relatives. Many of our 45 wards have not left home for a long time, for them we prepare and deliver delicious and balanced set meals to their homes. But, unfortunately, in Novorossiysk there are still many elderly people living on the verge of the poverty line and often in depressing living conditions. For those who, despite their age, have maintained a high level of self-service and can move around the city independently, we are opening a new charity canteen. In it, another 40 needy pensioners will be able to receive a freshly prepared nutritious lunch for free, 6 times a week. We also expect an additional positive effect - older people will be able to communicate there, make new acquaintances, and will feel more involved in the life of society. Finding a suitable space for the dining room turned out to be a difficult task. But we were still able to choose a room in the desired location, with the necessary parameters for connecting communications and electrical power. Currently, the main construction, tiling, and painting work in the dining room has been completed, finishing is in progress, and equipment is being purchased and installed. Even though the canteen is not open yet, we pay monthly rent for the space. Utility payments for the renovation period are insignificant and will be combined into one bill next month. The funds collected were used to pay rent for one month. Thanks to your participation, we can continue preparatory work for the speedy opening of the canteen.
