With your help, Roma completed a rehabilitation course!

Roman Ilyin was born at 39 weeks of pregnancy. On the 3rd day after birth Roma had a routine ultrasound, which revealed cerebral ischemia, myotonic syndrome, a high risk of infection and a heart defect. And after some time Roma was transported from the maternity hospital to the Republican Children's Clinical Hospital. Doctors observed the baby, conducted tests and examinations, and then discharged him home. Parents happily plunged into the daily routine of caring for their child. But closer to 3 months the mother began to notice that her son’s eyes were periodically squinting and muscle tone was increasing. After contacting a neurologist the baby was diagnosed with a risk of cerebral palsy. From that moment Roma’s constant rehabilitations began, and they give positive results in the boy’s development. At the end of 2023 Roma had a surgery - selective dorsal rhizotomy (surgery to relieve muscle spasticity). After it the boy needs an intensive rehabilitation. His parents are unable to pay for the course, so they turned to our Movement Up Charity Foundation. Let's together help Roma recover after surgery and gain new skills!
