“Cuddle Weekend was held! Thank you for your help in organizing the shift!

When a child gets cancer, the whole family experiences the disease. The mother lies in the hospital with the child and tries to keep her spirits up. The other part of the family at home misses their loved ones and counts the days until they see each other. Illness affects everyone. Coming back from the hospital and finishing chemotherapy is another stressor to deal with. Getting back to the same reality after a long hospital stay is difficult. During treatment, the family experiences a lot of loss. Hair may grow back, but social connections and social skills may be lost forever. Pulling a family out of this stagnation is incredibly difficult, but realistic. In April 2024, 7 families who have survived a cancer diagnosis will have that chance. The Bereginya Foundation will hold a three-day rehabilitation shift "Cuddle Weekend" for them. The beneficiaries will have an opportunity to open up to the world, start trusting it, and get rid of dozens of internal limitations.
