Any rehabilitation begins with physical therapy, especially after a stroke. With the restoration of movement, a person after a stroke and other diseases regains lost independence, movement helps to establish new neural connections. But this specialty has just begun its development in Russia. And in many regions outdated recovery methods are used, which reduces the effectiveness of rehabilitation and wastes the patient's potential for full recovery.
The ORBI Foundation is launching its own training courses for specialists from regions for whom modern methods are particularly difficult to master.
During the course, physical therapists will learn the necessary PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) techniques, or Mulligan or Bobath for neurological practice.
This is a completely practical course, during which physical therapists from regions such as Makhachkala, Ufa, Simferopol, Irkutsk and others will receive applied manual movement restoration skills.Specialists who have completed the course will be able to help patients recover after a stroke and gain independence.
