Lyosha has congenital muscular dystrophy, Ulrich's collagenopathy and myotonic syndrome (a condition where the ability of muscles to relax after contraction is impaired). At the age of five, Lyosha's muscles weakened so much that the boy stopped walking and standing.
Since the age of 8, Alexei has been sleeping with a non-invasive ventilator, as the disease also affects the respiratory system. Without this device, Lyosha's breathing stops at night and there is a risk of simply not waking up.
Alexei often complains of back pain, the back itself is very crooked. The boy moves around the apartment in an active wheelchair with the help of his parents, he cannot turn over himself. At the moment, the child is in dire need of verticalization to strengthen the muscles of the entire body. Thanks to this, all internal organs will work better, scoliosis will not progress.
A special verticalizer will allow the child to be in the correct position with fixation of the back and pelvis, contractures will not form, and spreading the legs will prevent problems with the hip joints.
But the most important thing is that good health will help Alexei fulfill his dream - to play hockey more often in order to become a Paralympic champion.
Let's all help Alex together!
Алексею крепкого здоровья 🙏🏻❤️
