Thanks to your help, six babies were born!

Expecting a baby is a trembling time in every woman's life. But at the next ultrasound, no one is safe from the news - "the unborn child has a malformation called spina bifida". The causes of this defect - are unknown. Spina bifida or herniated spinal cord can be seen on ultrasound at 12 weeks. Then intrauterine surgery can be performed, thereby minimizing complications for the baby. The surgery is done at 24-26 weeks. If a defect is found later, then the child will need surgery immediately after birth - in the first hours of life. Here it is very important to find a neurosurgeon who will operate on the baby in advance. Thanks to your help, we were able to support six families who have had children diagnosed with spina bifida. Two of the expectant mothers were able to have intrauterine surgery and minimize the consequences of the defect. The babies were born and did not need surgery after birth. Four of the babies had surgery in the first hours of life. All the families were very quickly connected to specialized medical centers, with competent doctors who work with the diagnosis of spina bifida. All the mothers and newborn babies were in good hands. The mothers did not have to look for the right doctor, wasting invaluable time, which was not lost as a result. The babies were given full medical care. And it minimized the complications that could arise in the future. Thanks to your help, we were able to pay for the flight and accommodation for the mothers in Moscow. All the mothers had to come to Moscow to give birth, because the cities where the families lived refused to accept difficult deliveries. And intrauterine surgeries are now only performed in Moscow. We were able to pay for the medical examinations necessary before the intrauterine operation, which are not covered by the MHI. We were able to pay for consultations of all profile doctors for newborns. By now all the babies are at home. They are growing, growing strong, and developing to the delight of their parents. Every day they give happiness, joy and love to all their relatives. The fact that they have come into the world is a true miracle.
