Lyudmila - an ordinary elderly woman from Novorossiysk, who has lived with diabetes for many years. Her days began with necessary procedures - measuring blood pressure and administering insulin, and the need for a proper meal was so crucial that her life depended on every meal. However, with a small pension and lack of support from her family, Lyudmila struggled to cope with everyday difficulties.
A seven-square-meter room, a modest pension, and a daughter, who worked hard in three places as a cleaner to support five children, made her life challenging. But everything changed two months ago when couriers from the "Wonderful Far" charity foundation started visiting her, bringing hot meals to her and dozens of other elderly people, enough for the whole day and even snacks.
Now our foundation is opening another charity canteen with free meals. This will allow us to help another 40 needy pensioners. And then, Lyudmila and other lonely elderly people will have the opportunity not only to eat well but also to communicate, share memories, and feel part of the community.
The funds raised will be enough to purchase ingredients for preparing 260 meals, and the collection also includes part of the expenses for paying the chef for the new canteen.
