Bogdan Kamaldinov was born exactly on time, but the birth was difficult, and the baby had severe asphyxia. Bogdan did not scream, did not breathe and he was taken to the intensive care unit of the Children's Republican Clinical Hospital in Kazan.
Bogdan was on a ventilator (artificial lung ventilation) for 12 days and then was transferred to the neonatal pathology department and stayed there for another 18 days. Only a month later the baby was discharged and, unfortunately, the diagnosis of cerebral palsy was still made to the boy at 5 months.
Now the boy can roll over and crawl, tries to stand up against a support and can sit with support. He is a very cheerful and intelligent child, loves to play educational games and listen to fairy tales. Bogdan’s life consists mainly of constant rehabilitation in medical centers, but it is difficult to cope without special technical means of rehabilitation. Now Bogdan needs a walker in order to strengthen his balance and coordination and learn to transfer weight to his feet. Doctors observe good dynamics of the boy and say that he will be able to walk if he does not stop and continues to exercise. We know for sure that with your help we will be able to assist Bogdan to continue his studies and learn to walk.
Your contribution will also help to partially pay the work of Movement Up Charity Foundation administration staff.
