Today, there are more than 35 thousand questionnaires in the database of children who need a family. Of these, 60% have health problems. And often the diagnosis becomes a verdict for them: to remain forever behind the fence of a government institution.
However, there are brave and responsible foster parents who take orphaned children from orphanages and deal with their upbringing and treatment. There are already 210 foster children with special needs who are constantly accompanied by the foundation "He needs you".
And many of them, who for the first time in their lives faced a diagnosis from an adopted child, need consultations from specialized specialists.
Dozens of questions they want to know the answers to:
- Who should I contact first?
- How do I build a health route for a child I do not know?
- What is more important – to adapt first, and then to treat and rehabilitate?
- How to assess the rehabilitation potential of a child who has not been in the family since birth?
- Are health problems a consequence of neglect or disease?
