Little Naima is called "sunshine" - she is an incredibly smiling, active and cheerful girl. She likes to play dolls, watch cartoons about kittens and dreams of becoming a doctor when she grows up.
In her 4 years Naima already understands well how valuable this profession is. The girl has a congenital genetic breakdown of immunity, primary immunodeficiency. Doctors, hospitals, and replacement medications are a big and important part of her life. Without constant therapy, Naima is severely ill. Bronchitis, pneumonia, colds, lung failure - all kinds of infections attack the child's already weakened body.
Naima was lucky - she was called from her native Ingushetia to a Moscow medical center for an examination. The Sunflower Foundation paid for Naima and her mother to travel by air to the capital to see the best immunologists in the country. There the little girl was correctly diagnosed and effective treatment was prescribed.
