Aruuke was born prematurely, but was not diagnosed with retinopathy of prematurity right away. Because of this, time was lost and the disease quickly progressed to stage 5.
Both of Aruuke's eyes are affected and both have detached retinas. In order to save her sight, the girl needed surgery.
With your help, the operation was successful - doctors managed to save Aruuke's vision in the eye that was operated on. The girl and her mother have already been released home, now she will return for a second examination in a year.
The remaining funds were used to partially pay for the operation against strabismus for Pavel - since the boy has neurological disorders, he is not suitable for traditional surgery. Pavel underwent chemodenervation - injection of a drug to relax the muscle. At this stage there is no exact picture yet, as this is one of the stages of the operation and the eyes have not yet fully recovered. But the doctors give a good prognosis - there is a high chance that Pavel will completely get rid of strabismus.
