There are now more than 60 cities and towns in the flood zone. Many are completely cut off from the outside world due to massive floods. More than 100,000 residents have been evacuated and are in temporary accommodation, more than 39,000 of them are children.
In April 2024, 9 regions of Kazakhstan were damaged by severe floods. A state of emergency is in effect in these areas. Residents were forced to leave their homes with only the bare necessities. 111,256 people, including 39,222 children, were evacuated from disaster zones. This is the worst natural disaster in the last 80 years. It united residents of the country, who are also involved in collecting humanitarian aid for flood victims.
The Republican educational and health center “Baldauren” in the city of Konaev accepts children from flood-affected regions of Kazakhstan: 100 children every 20 days. In total, 1000 children will come to them. They need humanitarian assistance: clothes, shoes, underwear, hygiene products, stationery for studying at the school located in the Baldauren center.
On May 6, 2024, the first 100 children will arrive at the educational and health center. We want to provide them with office supplies. By providing children with basic humanitarian assistance, we help them cope with this stressful period more easily. Thanks to stationery supplies, they will continue their school education. Your support will give them confidence that even in the most difficult situations in life, the whole world is ready to come to their aid!
