Myron has been living on a donor kidney for 6 years. Because of the high risk of rejection, a biopsy and a number of other tests are required to understand the condition of the graft and to adjust therapy.
The boy's kidneys failed immediately after his birth. He had to live on dialysis. Inga recalls that at one year old, her son weighed only 3 kg as a newborn baby.
In 2018, Miron was able to undergo a kidney transplant. But just a month later, the rejection of the donor organ began. Doctors were able to stop this process - and the child immediately went into growth, became stronger, began to gain weight and actively move. Of course, it is very difficult to catch up with his peers. Nevertheless, now it is a completely different Miron, who easily controls a scooter, runs with children on the playground, studies in a special school, enthusiastically draws with paints and at weekends pulls his mother to the zoo, which he adores.
Recently, the child's rejection has started again - most of his kidney tissue has died. The boy vitally needs an examination, on the basis of which doctors will adjust the therapy.
Let's support Miron and help him save his kidney!
