JFriends, we appeal to you for help. Our mentee, a 68-year-old woman, needs urgent surgery - denervation of one sacroiliac joint. This new innovative method of pain relief without surgery allows her to avoid constant medication and improve her quality of life without causing complications. The surgery is a process of destroying the nerve fibres that conduct pain. It is performed under X-ray control with high current pulses using local anaesthesia, destroying the sheath of the nerve that conducts the pain signal. The effect will be felt immediately: the pain will begin to subside over several days until it disappears completely. The operation is scheduled for 28 May 2024 and is expensive, so we ask you to help our ward. Any amount will be important and will help cover the cost of the treatment.
