Eight-year-old Khadija is a calm and modest girl. She loves to play with dolls, draw in coloring books and watch cartoons. Two years ago, Khadija began to experience headaches, which became stronger over time and would happen more and more often. Around this time, Khadija's parents noticed that she had started to complain about her worsening eyesight. Also, her walking became unstable and not confident. An MRI scan ordered by a doctor helped diagnose the girl with a brain tumor, which was the cause of all this distress. Khadija bravely underwent surgery to remove the tumor, and then radiation and chemotherapy. The treatment helped Khadija - she was transferred into dynamic observation. She spent a year recovering, getting her strength back and received checkpoint examinations. Unfortunately, in July 2023, one of these exams revealed a recurrence of the sickness. Khadija was again admitted to the hospital, where a decision was made for the girl to undergo surgery for the second time, and then be prescribed new chemotherapy courses. This was not enough to beat the disease. Now the girl is going to undergo radiation therapy. Khadija's family does not have the means to pay for this treatment.
