Seven-month-old Ismail is a little sunshine. That's what his parents and doctors call him. The baby spends almost all his time in hospitals. Bronchitis, pneumonia, severe anemia and unreasonable fever are just some of the ailments the child has faced. Four times Ismail received blood transfusions to provide oxygen to his tissues. But each time the procedure had only a temporary effect. Doctors hypothesize that the boy has a congenital genetic immune failure - primary immunodeficiency. Without proper treatment, most children with primary immunodeficiency die from various infectious complications. And only timely comprehensive therapy allows such children to live a long and full life. Therefore, it is very important to make an accurate diagnosis as early as possible and start the correct treatment. Expensive genetic tests are the only chance to confirm the diagnosis in time, prescribe a drug and start therapy.
