Adam was born nine weeks premature. Asphyxia and intracerebral hemorrhage occurred during labor. Adam was immediately connected to a ventilator. The baby was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect and a tumor in the left lung - it had to be removed along with part of the lung.
Recovery was complicated by pneumonia and respiratory failure, anemia. Hemoglobin was constantly falling to critical values - Adam had more than 10 blood transfusions.
After 3 months, Adam started breathing on his own. The complications were not without a trace: Adam has cerebral palsy of the 5th degree, bilateral hearing loss, neuropathy, complex astigmatism and alternating strabismus, secondary autism is forming.
To improve her vision, ophthalmologists recommend chemodenervation and hardware treatment, wearing glasses all the time due to complex astigmatism.
Adam's mother cannot pay for the chemodenervation surgery on her own, as it is not included in the OMC program. All rehabilitation and examinations have to be paid from the child's pension. Mom cannot work, as she takes care of Adam.
