Emin fell ill four years ago in early spring. The first symptoms — high fever, abdominal pain — were then attributed to poisoning. Emin was admitted to an infectious diseases hospital and prescribed a course of antibiotics. But it didn't get any better. Doctors were able to find out the cause of poor health and establish a diagnosis only after conducting an examination. It turned out to be a neuroblastoma, a highly malignant tumor.
Emin underwent seven courses of chemotherapy, underwent four surgeries, a bone marrow transplant and went into long-awaited remission. The disease receded, but not for long. In May 2023, Emin had a relapse. The difficult treatment had to be started again.
At the R. M. Gorbacheva Clinic in St. Petersburg, Emin underwent ten courses of anti-relapse chemotherapy, followed by bone marrow transplantation. My mother became the donor. There were complications. Emin's body was attacked by an acute graft-versus-host reaction, and his skin was damaged.
According to the attending physician, in order to cope with the complications that have arisen, Emin was prescribed immunosuppressive, immune-suppressing therapy. In this case, there is a high risk of developing infections, including fungal ones. Therapy with the medicine Noxafil, which, unfortunately, is currently not available in the clinic's pharmacy, can help. The delivery may take time, and Emin needs therapy right now.
