Matvey's pregnancy proceeded according to plan, the parents were very much waiting for the birth of their first child. But the birth did not go according to plan, the child had severe oxygen starvation. Now Matvey has many diagnoses, but the main problem is epilepsy. The baby has a palliative status, it is given when it is impossible to cure a person. Matvey cannot eat or even breathe on his own, so doctors have installed a gastrostomy and a tracheostomy for him. On a regular basis, the child takes two expensive drugs − Inovelon and Depakin. In 2020, Matvey's parents divorced, and now the mother is raising the child alone, the father does not help in any way. Mom can't go to work because Matvey needs round-the-clock care. The family's only income is a disability pension and child care allowance. Mom cannot purchase life-saving medications on her own.
