Elnur is an incredibly patient boy. He almost never cries. For every painful test or injection that the little man endures, his parents buy Elnur a car. “We have already accumulated three packages of these cars,” dad Elshan smiles sadly.
His son has a congenital genetic breakdown of the immune system - primary immunodeficiency. The disease has hit the boy's lungs the hardest. For six years of his life Elnur has twice suffered coma, spent weeks in intensive care on a ventilator and was literally on the verge of life and death.
Six months ago Elnur underwent a bone marrow transplant. It was the only chance to stop the rapid development of complications. Fortunately, the transplant was successful - most of the donor cells took root.
Now the boy is shown supportive therapy, which will help his body to recover faster after the dangerous intervention. And while Elnur's family is waiting for favorable medications to be issued, we are opening a fundraiser to pay for the boy's treatment. He must not miss the therapy under any circumstances.
