In August 2023, a misfortune happened to Vladimir. After suffering from acute respiratory viral infection, he developed Guillain-Barre syndrome. This is an acute, rapidly progressing lesion of the nervous system. It all started with weakness and numbness of the hands and feet, and ended with complete paralysis.Vladimir ended up in intensive care, spent two months in a coma, fighting for his life. In such a serious condition, Vladimir agreed to be admitted only to the Three Sisters rehabilitation center. After a month of intensive training, positive dynamics appeared. Vladimir has learned to swallow and speak, and mobility in his shoulder and elbow joints is gradually returning. Working with the legs is still difficult, but exercise therapy specialists are working on this too. Doctors recommend continuing rehabilitation, then there will be a chance to fully return to a full life. If you complete rehabilitation right now, all efforts will come to naught, and bedsores may develop. The goals for the next course of study are to learn how to independently transfer from a bed to a wheelchair and back. Vladimir graduated with honors from the Rostov naval school, by the age of 30 he received a diploma as a sea captain and headed one of the ferries.
