Friends, once again we would like to appeal to you for help in raising funds for little six-year-old Abdul-Rahiym. This marvellous boy was born with multiple pathologies, but thanks to his parents' willpower and care he was able to overcome many difficulties. He underwent several surgeries on his legs and started walking. However, in order to maintain his progress, he needs to undergo one more operation. The boy has been allocated a quota for the operation in Kurgan, and he is invited for hospitalisation at the Ilizarov Medical Research Centre for Traumotology and Orthopaedics from 9 July 2024.
We already helped this boy more than a year ago, when we raised funds for the operation to remove spokes and plates. The parents were satisfied with the result. But if we don't do another necessary operation, he will stop walking. And he will soon go to school. That's why they are turning to us again for support. Abdul-Rahiym is the youngest fourth child in the family.
His father is a disabled person of the second group and cannot work at the moment, all expenses of the family are covered by pensions. Before the operation, the ward will have to undergo some procedures related to taking and processing tests. Accommodation outside the hospital will be up to 10 days. After the operation Abdul-Rahiym and his mother will be placed in a ward at the hospital, where he will be under the supervision of a doctor for up to 3 months. The cost of accommodation and food in Kurgan may be prohibitive for this family.
