The KDL Foundation starts fundraising to pay for physical therapy courses for five adult patients. Competent rehabilitation after musculoskeletal and brain injuries is an important stage on the way to full recovery. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to receive comprehensive and full-fledged assistance after discharge from hospital. Many people who have suffered serious injuries have to spend some time lying down or travelling in a wheelchair. However, it is crucial to a successful recovery to begin the recommended rehabilitation procedures as early as possible. Rehabilitation after injury includes a variety of restorative methods that promote recovery. The main ones are physical therapy (PT), massage, physiotherapy and mechanotherapy. The aim of rehabilitation treatment is to achieve, within an appropriate time frame, a lasting normalisation of the person's impaired functions, as well as their social functions and ability to work.
