Open spaces are places for teenagers where they can come at any time and freely, and most importantly, have fun with friends. The guys from the village of Nechaevo, who go to the open space "Reboot", tell us in secret that before the appearance of such places in the village, one of their favorite activities was just walking on the street, sitting at bus stops and benches, finding other adventures for themselves.
"Open spaces are like a separate small room in the house of culture, where children can come at any time and they will not be kicked out. There they play board games, talk about everything in the world, listen to music, watch movies, arrange performances or just come to be alone after a hard day. There is always an adult next to them — a person who knows how to work with teenagers and knows how to interest them. The Sunny City Foundation helps to equip such spaces: to make repairs, buy furniture and appliances, and also trains specialists," says Ekaterina, curator of open spaces in Sunny City.
There are 300 teenagers in the village of Nechaevo. Many of them are often in the "Reboot". Even though the space does not have a separate room: events and meetings were held in the auditorium, lobby or choreography class. Teenagers have to share their place with younger children or with pensioners.
But there was still a suitable room in the rural house of culture — an old cinema booth with a separate entrance. The guys got the idea to make this place truly their own.
"We took out all the old equipment and it turned out that the room was very spacious. The guys have already planned out where and what they will put," the experts say.
But there is a problem: a separate entrance from the street is unsafe. The stairs are very steep, the steps are old. To replace it, you need 270 000 rubles. This price includes materials, construction and installation work. If it turns out to collect the necessary amount by the end of the month, then in the fall the guys will be able to spend time in the updated space!
