Almost all of little Vanya's life was spent within the walls of the hospital. Due to his kidney disease, he was tied to hemodialysis procedures and was waiting for a kidney transplant.
At first, his parents experienced such stress that they were not ready to go through this journey with their son. His mother signed the adoption consent. However, a foster family for Vanya was never found over the years. This year, he finally received a donor organ. Together with the foundation's nanny, Vanya faced the difficult challenge of surgery to remove another non-functioning kidney.
Vanya was ill for a long time, and his condition was very serious. The doctors managed to stabilize him. Then another joyful miracle happened: his biological family decided to reunite with Vanya. His father was already with him in the hospital and would prepare the documents to take his son home.
After the transplant, Vanya needs to take expensive medications. Usually, these are provided by the government, but processing the paperwork takes time, and the medications are needed immediately. Thanks to your support, we were able to purchase all the necessary medications for Vanya so that he could recover faster. We hope that soon Vanya will be home and his life will improve.
