Rahman has successfully completed an intensive rehabilitation course!

Rahman has mental retardation and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. By the age of 2, the boy did not respond to the name, there was no eye contact, there was stereotypical behavior, he laid out toys in a row. During the intensive classes, the boy became more attentive. Rahman learned how to match a picture with an object. I also made progress in the "listener behavior" skill. The child has formed an index gesture, now with the help of special PECS system cards he can make requests to adults. Through working with teachers, Rahman has learned to make brief eye contact, and his speech skills have improved. The specialist worked on introducing verbs and prepositions into the boy's speech, and taught him how to compose simple phrases according to the "verb- preposition -noun" scheme. The adaptive physical education coach paid special attention to teaching Rahman how to jump and keep his body balanced. He started jumping with a cue, learned how to throw a ball, did exercises on a treadmill, rode a bike and a scooter. During the sensory integration classes, the specialist worked on the child's vestibular and tactile systems. Rahman learned to stand confidently on a balancing cushion, fine motor skills were developed with the help of cereals and sand. Also, as part of the rehabilitation course, Rahman underwent a course of bioacoustic correction of the brain, due to which the boy's excessive activity decreased, his psychophysiological condition normalized, his communication skills improved, as well as his understanding of spoken speech.
