Thanks to the fundraising, we were able to conduct home visits for our beneficiaries all over Russia!

The Spina Bifida Foundation's beneficiaries are children with severe spinal pathologies. This causes health problems such as defecation and urination disorders, hydrocephalus, kyphosis, and difficulties with independent mobility. Often children with spina bifida are wheelchair users. In fact, this is only the "tip of the iceberg" of all the health features of our children. Such conditions require close attention from specialists. Our wards are constantly under the supervision of medical experts and another important specialists - ergo and physical therapists. They are family supervisors and make home visits to the ward, where the child's condition is examined and parents are counseled in a comfortable environment. Ergo and physical therapists plan medical routing for each child, select technical rehabilitation equipment, set it up, and teach parents important skills for interacting with a special child. The Home Visiting project is one of the most important areas of the Foundation's work. And now it needs support, because not every family is ready to pay for such home visits. We are opening a collection to pay for ergo and physical therapists so that as many children with spina bifida from all over Russia as possible will receive timely and qualified help!
