Thanks to your help, Shahina had her surgery!

Seven-year-old Shahina has a severe consequence of cancer - ptosis, the drooping of the upper eyelid. The little girl fell ill when she was only one and a half years old. Her parents noticed an unusual glow in her right eye and consulted a doctor. Treatment was started at home, in Uzbekistan. The eye could not be saved, the tumour was already too big. To finally defeat the disease, Shahina was urgently brought to Russia. Several blocks of chemotherapy and prosthetics for her right eye are behind her. Doctors at the S.N. Fedorov Moscow Scientific and Technical Centre for Eye Microsurgery scheduled a series of reconstructive surgeries on Shakhina's right orbit. The girl's eye does not open and hurts. The next stage should be an operation to eliminate ptosis, the drooping of the upper eyelid. Shahina has spent a lot of time in the hospital since she was a child. The girl decided to become a doctor to help other children to become healthy. And she is very hopeful that she will be helped too. So far she is successfully treating her doll Masha, which she takes with her everywhere. The family with many children has no money to pay for the operation. Mum turned to the Foundation for help.
