Polina is 10 years old, with beautiful light hair and a modest smile. She is a smart and kind girl, but foster parents are not rushing to adopt her because she has health issues. Once, Polina lived in a family with her mom and grandmother, had her own room and bed, but her mother passed away, and the elderly woman could no longer care for her granddaughter. Thus, the little girl ended up in the Rovenki boarding school. Polina has motor impairments due to an infectious disease she suffered in early childhood. Until recently, she could only move in a wheelchair, but now, after treatment and rehabilitation, she can walk on her own! While her steps are still unsteady, this is just the beginning. During medical procedures, Polina lives with other children at the social center of the foundation, where she is cared for by a nanny. The nanny's care complements the work of doctors and rehabilitation specialists.
