Olga and Alexander, with a severe type of epidermolysis bullosa (EB), faced a serious complication of their disease — the development of squamous cell carcinoma of the skin, one of the most dangerous forms of cancer among patients with epidermolysis bullosa. Our efforts were aimed at covering the costs associated with pre-hospitalization, purchase of expensive dressings, specialized equipment for movement and transportation of patients to St. Petersburg and back. In addition, by adjusting the list of prescribed procedures, we were able to provide assistance to two more patients with a similar diagnosis and complication of the disease (cancer). I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who supported the project by providing financial assistance or sharing information about our collection.
