Margarita's life began as if in a fantasy movie. The baby had surgery on her back when she was not yet born, at the 26th week of her mother's pregnancy. Doctors in utero corrected a spinal cord defect - spina bifida. And thanks to this operation, Margarita was born almost healthy: she could walk and explore the world around her.
Now the baby is almost 3 years old, she is very inquisitive, cheerful and active. For her mother, she is a long-awaited and beloved treasure.
But, unfortunately, the consequences of the complex diagnosis have not passed without a trace. Margarita has paresis of the left leg, clubfoot, and a curvature of the spine. She walks only in special orthoses.
The early development specialist who is in charge of the family recommends that Margosha have regular sessions in the pool with a rehabilitator. These regular exercises will stop the curvature of the spine and increase the strength of the muscles in the baby's legs. This will keep Margarita from developing secondary complications and surgical interventions.
The charity fund "Spina Bifida" is collecting funds to pay for regular lessons in the pool for Margarita for six months. Let's give the little girl a chance to grow up healthy, to learn the world around her, and to enjoy every new day!
