"She is a piece of my heart. And I love her very much," says Doaa, Saniura's mother. Saniura is the smallest in the family, she has two older brothers and two older sisters. She's only a year old. Almost from birth, Saniura has been fighting pilocytic astrocytoma, a slow —growing brain tumor.
The first symptoms — weakness, nausea, poor appetite — appeared last year. However, the diagnosis was not immediately established. The fact that this is a tumor was found out thanks to the results of examinations.
The doctors prescribed courses of chemotherapy for Saniura. She began her first course at the Medical Institute named Sergey Berezin in St. Petersburg. The treatment lasted for six months, which, as my mother says, did not bring the expected result. Then the doctors changed one chemotherapy to another and prescribed four more courses for Saniura.
There are several more courses of chemotherapy ahead for Saniura. To assess the condition of the body at this stage of treatment, it is important to undergo an examination — magnetic resonance imaging. It helps to keep the disease under control. The examination is carried out on special, high-precision equipment, which, however, is not declared in the CHI system. That's why we are asking you for help.
Support Saniura and help her get the necessary examination as soon as possible.
