Roma was born weighing only 1060 g and could not breathe on his own - he was immediately placed under a ventilator. Roma and her mother were discharged two months later with a whole list of diagnoses.
By the age of one, the boy did not hold his head, did not roll over, did not sit and did not crawl - the doctors diagnosed cerebral palsy, spastic tetraparesis.
For the first two years of his life, the boy was lying, did not react to toys, he did not have a chewing reflex, and there were no motor skills. But the parents did not give up and began rehabilitation, which gave powerful results!
Roma began to develop his intellect - at the age of two, he began to speak with almost no delay in speech development.
Roma is an inquisitive and purposeful child who loves to learn. He goes to school on an equal basis with other classmates - now the boy has finished the 3rd grade.
In his spare time, Roma studies English and computer science, loves to play chess and synthesizer. Despite the fact that the boy is a wheelchair user, he participates in school events and competitions, he has many friends.
For the treatment of cerebral palsy, a special active wheelchair is best suited, which is needed on a permanent basis. It will allow the boy to take the correct physiological position to prevent orthopedic pathologies, give freedom of movement, independence and self-confidence.
Roma is looking forward to the day when he can take his first steps – let's help him with that!
