Warm clothes delivered: help for the elderly in 15 regions

The charity fund “Second Breath” donates clothes to grandparents, warm clothes in winter, especially jackets and shoes. This year more than 7500 elderly people in 15 regions are waiting for our help. Many elderly people, even the most active and social in their younger years, find themselves in a situation where they are no longer able to cope with their difficulties on their own. According to Rosstat data for 2022, 26.3% of pensioners' families cannot afford to buy clothes. Without warm clothes and shoes, lonely pensioners remain locked in their own homes, risking their health and ceasing to live a full life. Thanks to your help, they will be able to go grocery shopping or to the clinic, go to the city or just visit friends. We collect clothes, sort them and send them to people. To provide 7,500 pensioners with warm clothes this season, we will prepare more than 37 tons of clothes and shoes for them. Trucks with things from us travel 1150 kilometers a week, delivering necessary things to several settlements at once. Such intensive work of machines and drivers requires support. The season changes and with it the tires on the cars must be changed, and daily trips do not do without gasoline. The main people who make the help possible, but remain in the shadows, are the drivers and the Sorting Center staff. We ask that you help us to provide these costs in the coming month so that warm clothes arrive safely to those in particular need this winter.
